mEREN ÄÄRELLÄ 2023
Meren Äärellä was an event organized by our nature conservation association Kohde ry. The project aimed at raising funds for the John Nurminen Foundation’s work in saving the Baltic Sea. The foundation improve the condition of the Baltic Sea by reducing the load of nutrients on the sea and environmental risks.

COMMUNICATION & CONTENT CREATION
Through my work at Kohde ry, I have planned and implemented the organization's communications strategy, from day-to-day operations to high-level strategic planning. In this project, I had the opportunity to create communication materials based on the scientific research and observations of marine biologists and expert organizations.
LIVE EVENT ORGANIZING
We organized a live event that featured music, art, and film. We collaborated with our partners. The event's financing was made possible through our partners and sponsors: Lapinlahden Lähde, Pro Lapinlahti, Tiikerimedia, Helsingin kaupunki & Tuuliaisen säätiö.

Exhibition Curation
Curation of an art exhibition at Katugalleria Mutteri, where we created a dialogue between the exhibit and its audience. The exhibition showcased works by five artists, each exploring themes related to the Baltic Sea.

Save the Skogen 2022
Protecting 10,000 m² of Ancient Forest
Save the Skogen was the first event, organized by Kohde ry at Hanko's Plagen Beach. The event attracted approximately 400 visitors who enjoyed a comprehensive cultural offering, including live music, an art exhibition, and an outdoor movie.
MAIN EVENT & THE beach clean-up
We organized two live-events; an evening cultural event, and a beach clean-up initiative. Save the Skogen event contributed to the protection of 10,000 m² of ancient forest.
Corporate Collaboration
We gathered sponsors from Finnish businesses for the event. We successfully engaged 12 companies eager to support the protection of Finland's ancient forests.
BRAND IDENTITY & COMMUNICATION
In 2021, we began developing our association's brand and strategy. Together with my colleagues, we have evolved the brand and core activities of Kohde ry. I have been responsible for our association's communication since the first event.
